OFFERS : BRICKS LIME MUD RUBBLE 400 YEAR OLD FIREPLACE
Our recently uncovered inglenook fireplace was filled in with very old 300year plus rubble. It's made up of very old broken bricks (called 'soft reds', gorgeous Hampton Court red-colour), and bits of old lime, mud, daub and straw.
Would anyone like some 'pure & organic' rubble? we've got about 40 rubble bags of it. It's clean organic stuff, we thought it would be lovely to use in the garden etc and a terrible shame to send it to the local rubbish dump.
If anyone out there is into real limewashing, you could even crush the soft red's up into fine dust and add into limewash to create a Burnt Sienna pink colour (this is the traditional method of doing it!)
Please someone say they'd use this for a good purpose, preferably in the garden or in connection to an old historic building. Our skip is coming at the weekend!
