Original backplate for open fire place size 27"x29" weight approx 75-100lbs tudor rose in middle surrounded either side by lion and dragon type animal with crown over rose.writing on in latin.Recovered from old hunting lodge site nr Hatfield house estate.home of elizabeth 1sr the date on the plate is 1571. its in goo condition.any ideas...
