 OFFERS : 1950S KITCHEN WITH ANGLED FRONT WALL UNITS ORIGINAL WITH PROVENANCE 1950's kitchen with angled front wall units.
Original. With provence as follows: built in 1958 by Berg and Co, with the house as part of the Berg Estate in Sunbury. The units appear to be solid wood, and are built in. They are painted Red and cream. The work surface may be ply-wood or solid it is covered with red formica type-stuff there is some sun fading of the formica in areas.
The kitchen comprises:
1) run of floor units - 5 drawers, 1 large and one small cupboard - around 6 foot long
1) run of angle fronted wall units with sliding doors - and cupbords above (to the ceiling) around 6 foot long
1) open dresser - wall mounted, with matching formica on the shelves - about 3 feet wide adn 3 feet high
1) sink unit with cupboards under - and formika top
1) additional piece of formica worktop.
1) floor to ceiling dresser - 3 doors wide aroudn 4 ft and 7 foot high - with integrated original metal shelves.
The kitchen had one owner from new 1958 to 2009 - and has been well looked after (and had us looking after it since then). It's in full working order (daily). Some handles have been replaced - the sink doesnt look orginal - it's nothing special.
We are looking to replace the kitchen probably around early 2011 - but if you love it and want it sooner we can work to your timescale.

interested to see how you got on regarding selling the kitchen. i have recently inherited a Berg bungalow with a similar kitchen and was going to rip it out tio modernise it before sale. Now im thinking..is that the right thing to do. Do you mind me asking if you received any offers or contact regarding the kitchen and whether you were successful in selling it.
